It’s heartwarming when gaming studios step up for causes that matter, right? The team behind Stalker 2, GSC Game World, has recently joined forces with United24, a platform set up by the Ukrainian government. They’re on a mission to help children in Ukraine get back to school following the turmoil caused by Russia’s invasion.
The campaign focuses on raising funds for generators meant for 112 schools nationwide. This initiative aims to assist over 30,000 Ukrainian children as they gear up for their studies this winter, a time when every little bit helps!
If you’re wondering how to make a difference, here’s some exciting news: anyone who donates $24 or more can win one of three United24 and Stalker 2-branded radiation dosimeters! Ten lucky winners will also receive physical packages of the Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Ultimate Edition, complete with game memorabilia and souvenirs.
Those contributing $10 or above can snag one of twenty game keys or limited-edition T-shirts featuring Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It feels good knowing that your support not only aids education but also gives you a shot at some fabulous prizes!
This charitable effort comes after a challenging development period for GSC Game World. Due to ongoing conflicts, the studio had to relocate from Kyiv to the Czech Republic partially. Yet, they persevered and launched their much-anticipated post-apocalyptic shooter last November on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Game Pass.
Upon its release, GSC acknowledged that Stalker 2 had its “rough edges” and pledged improvements. In December alone, they rolled out their first major patch that included around 1,800 fixes.
