STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl fans, gather around! When we thought the game couldn’t improve, GSC GameWorld dropped another patch to smooth out those pesky crashes. If you’ve been experiencing issues while saving your progress or interacting with anomalies, this update might just be what you need to get back into the Zone!
Yesterday’s release was already a hefty one, addressing over 1700 fixes. But today’s Title Update 1.2.1, released hot on its heels, zeroes in specifically on crashes, especially those annoying ones that hit when loading save files. It’s like GSC is saying, “We got you!” The game should now run more smoothly on your PC, allowing for uninterrupted exploration of the eerie landscapes.
Now, let’s break it down a bit! This patch tackles some crashes tied to interactions with lightning ball anomalies and artifacts. Plus, if you’ve found yourself abruptly booted out during Emissions or wandering away from hubs, those moments should now be behind you!
If you love modding your experience (and who isn’t?), good news! According to reports, this patch remains friendly with mods like the Parkour climbing system and even one that enables fast travel across the map. Who doesn’t want to zip around without having to trek through every inch?
A few months back, in December 2024, a mod emerged allowing players to loot all mutants, a feature many hoped would return officially in patches. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that GSC takes note and maybe integrates it into future updates! Oh, and are you interested in going heavy on inventory without limits? There’s also a mod for that, too!
The update will automatically download via Steam the next time you launch it, so there’s no need to fuss about manually updating!
