Operation Pole has come to an end in Stalcraft: X, leaving behind a story of brutal battles and unexpected outcomes. The military’s attempt to secure a foothold in Pripyat and gather intel from the Zone’s center didn’t go quite as planned, but it wasn’t a total loss either.
The S.S.P.P. forces faced fierce resistance from the mysterious Murmur creatures. They suffered significant casualties, and many soldiers were left isolated in the hostile environment. Despite these setbacks, the military managed to capture a strange device from the Murmur and evacuated it safely. That capture could hold some interesting secrets for players to uncover.
After the mission, the troops retreated beyond the CEZ perimeter. Interestingly, the Murmur has not shown any recent activity. However, locals from the north tell stories about eerie silhouettes wandering outside the usual stalker paths. Could the Zone be hiding new threats? It’s a question that might keep players on edge.
