Stalcraft: X teases Encaged session mode with grim underground teaser

A Steam news post and trailer hint that Stalcraft: X will get an Encaged session mode focused on underground mazes

Stalcraft: X has posted a short but eerie teaser on its Steam news feed teasing a new session mode called Encaged, which the developer says will take players into grim underground mazes. The Steam post frames the mode as coming soon to the PC build and pairs the teaser with a cryptic trailer.

The trailer and accompanying text lean into atmosphere over detail. A cold, blunt line from the Steam message sets the tone:

They don’t know yet, but their graves are already dug. They don’t know yet, but they’ll be the next victims. They search for salvation, but there is no escape – they are Encaged

Below the quote the post adds a short announcement: The Encaged session mode – coming soon to the game!

Watch the teaser here:

Concrete details about how Encaged will play are thin. The wording and trailer suggest short, tense runs through labyrinthine underground areas where survival and escape are the objectives rather than long-form progression. That fits with earlier hints about Zone secrets and hidden content; the Steam teaser follows an earlier cryptic post that teased more enigmatic Zone material.

For now, the announcement is a clear mood piece rather than a systems reveal. Players looking for specifics on maps, rewards, or matchmaking will have to wait for a fuller developer update or patch notes. The Steam news item and trailer are the official touchpoints for the moment.
