Stalcraft: X is shaking things up with its latest update by removing the Repair Parts currency and adjusting how players repair gear and earn rewards. Alongside this, the game is returning the Assault on the Reichstag map for a limited session mode, commemorating a historic moment. These changes simplify gameplay and offer fresh experiences for players roaming the Zone.

Repair Parts Currency Removed, Ruble Rewards Increased

The Repair Parts currency, once intended for expanded gameplay mechanics, is being retired. The developers decided to scrap the outdated repair system since it no longer fits the idea of “free repair.” Instead, repairing equipment will now cost fewer rubles, and activities and quests that used to reward Repair Parts will grant more rubles.

Players still holding Repair Parts can exchange them for useful items through a new NPC named Estaсada, who has appeared in all safe zones. Estaсada offers exchanges for:

  • current Spare Parts and Tools
  • Standard Spare Parts and Tools
  • Unstable Anomalous Batteries
  • Catalysts

Note: All offers except catalysts have purchase limits that won’t refresh.

For the next two weeks, Repair Parts can still be used to fix gear. After that, the option will vanish, Estaсada will disappear, and any leftover Repair Parts will be automatically converted into rubles.

All sources of Repair Parts have been disabled, but ruble rewards in quests and activities have been boosted to compensate. The cost of gear repair has already been adjusted and will remain steady after the removal.

Assault on the Reichstag Returns

To honor the signing of Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender on May 8, 1945, the Assault on the Reichstag map is back in the “Session modes” menu from May 7 to 11. This mode temporarily replaces DeathMatch and alternates hourly with Arms Race, except on May 9 when it runs all day.

Key features of this mode include:

  • Random themed equipment based on team
  • Periodic artillery strikes on the map
  • Powerful weapons scattered during combat
  • Kills and deaths don’t affect overall player stats
  • Spartak’s inventory updated with themed gear like the PPSh, Mauser 98k, Russian Bayonet, Red Star Charm, and themed paints

Balance and Item Changes

The update also adjusts stopping power mechanics and weapon stats to smooth out gameplay:

  • Stopping power removal rate increased from 20% to 80% per second for smoother speed recovery
  • ASh-12 recoil slightly increased
  • 6P62 Little Boy damage up, movement penalty reduced, but horizontal recoil increased
  • Minor damage and recoil tweaks across various weapons including AMB-17, LR-300, FN F2000, QBZ-191, Arsenal X95, HK XM8 series, DSA 58, AK-308, FN Scar-H, HK417, FN Fal, A-762 Ares, Rune, and others
  • Stopping power for certain rounds and grenades reduced to balance combat

Other Fixes and Additions

  • Fixed teleporter from Black Willows to Forest location
  • Added new calm-state NPC phrases heard in safe zones and open world
  • Introduced distinct faction phrases and common phrases for all factions

These changes aim to make expeditions into the Zone more straightforward and add some fresh flavor to the gameplay. What do you think about the removal of Repair Parts and the return of Assault on the Reichstag? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
