In a Steam announcement on July 9, EXBO said STALCRAFT: X had spent the past few months getting some of its biggest changes yet, including visual work, a rebuilt new-player path, and anniversary events.

The clearest visual change is the new lighting system, which gives locations more depth and a stronger sense of place. The Southern storyline is now also available with English voice-over, along with an English announcer and separate voice language settings.
EXBO also rebuilt the opening hours with redesigned starting locations, updated story content, new CGI cutscenes, and a smoother tutorial. The Southern areas were not left behind either, since they received their own visual and gameplay work.
There is also anniversary content in the mix. Triumphs and Great Zone Rush Challenges are live, with exclusive rewards, longer progression goals, and community-wide objectives. On top of that, the studio said STALCRAFT: X is now called STALZONE, and a free DLC with cosmetics inspired by the older name will arrive on July 10.
If you have been away for a while, this looks like a strong reason to head back into the Zone. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
