Splitgate 2 got a fresh hotfix update on June 25, 2025, aimed at smoothing out gameplay and tweaking key features. The servers went down for a few hours, but the changes should make matches feel tighter, especially in Battle Royale mode.
The highlight? The Sabrask Smart Wall got a notable adjustment: its front now blocks shots from everyone, but both allies and enemies can shoot through the back side. That’s a neat twist that might shift how you use this ability in combat.

A lot is happening here that should smooth out some annoying quirks and tighten gameplay flow. The Battle Royale changes especially caught my eye — tweaking radar reveals and ping visibility could significantly disrupt team tactics. Yikes, I’m curious how that will play out in live matches!
Also, the devs teased that Ranked mode, Weapon Mastery Skins, and more are will arrive next Thursday. That’s something to watch for if you’re into climbing the competitive ladder or just want to freshen up your arsenal’s look.
