Spectre Divide has rolled out a fresh update that tackles the ever-looming specter of cheating and teases an exciting new feature on the horizon. Let’s explore what this patch brings to our beloved virtual battlegrounds!

General Updates

  • If a cheater is detected in your match, the match will be canceled.
    • The match will end in a surrender/tie, and players will keep all player progress (Endorsements, Crew, and Contracts).
    • You will not lose SR if it cancels a ranked match.
    • A pop-up will show in the lobby screen after a match is canceled in this way.
  • We’ve made some underlying code changes in preparation for a ‘Region Selector’ feature. We hope to have this live soon!

This patch is like that unexpected guest who shows up at your party with pizza, everyone loves it! By make sure matches are canceled when cheaters are detected, players can breathe easier knowing their hard-fought progress isn’t lost to some digital ne’er-do-well. It’s about time we put those pesky hackers on notice!

The upcoming ‘Region Selector’ feature promises to improve matchmaking further by allowing players to choose their preferred servers. Imagine explore into battle with fellow gamers from your corner of the globe, it could make for some exciting encounters or hilarious lag-filled moments. Who doesn’t love a good old-fashioned connection hiccup?

Essentially, this update feels like a breath of fresh air, a much-needed tweak to maintain integrity while keeping gameplay engaging. So prepare, gather your crew, and prepare for epic battles without worrying about those sneaky cheats lurking around.

Until the next time, see you around! Angel out.
