Developer Saber Interactive has published the Year 2 roadmap for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, promising new game modes, enemies, arenas, and cosmetic drops across 2025 and 2026. The Anniversary Update arrives on September 4, marking the start of free content and paid season-pass extras.
Patch 10, the Anniversary Update, will be the first significant update on launch day. It initiates a run of free updates that will continue through the first half of 2026, along with paid champion and cosmetic packs for season-pass holders. The roadmap was posted on the developer’s community site and gives a clear schedule.
On September 4 players will get:
- New PvE Mission
- New PvP Mode: Helbrute Onslaught
- New PvP Arena
- New PvE Mode: Stratagems
- Three new weapons
- Majoris enemy: Chaos Spawn
- Chaos Armour Pack
Patch 11 is expected in Q4 2025, featuring another PvE mission, mission pickups, new stratagem rewards, and updated battlefield conditions. Patch 12, scheduled for early 2026, will introduce the Techmarine class and the Omnissian Axe, along with the Battle Barge expansion and additional stratagem content. Patch 13 follows with mission and progression updates, as well as a new terminus enemy, in Q1 2026. Q2 2026 then brings two more free updates – two PvP arenas, PvP stratagems, general stratagems, and a new siege map.
Season-pass holders will receive four champion packs, four cosmetic packs, and a chapter pack; the first two packs will launch alongside the free update on September 4. Oh, and the free/paid split is fairly tidy: most of the gameplay additions are free, while the pass covers extra cosmetics and champions.

The plan provides players with steady new content across modes and classes, which is somewhat reassuring after the launch turbulence. Who doesn’t like a fresh PvE mission and new PvP arenas to test builds?
Expect the Anniversary Update to arrive as a substantial stability and content patch labeled Patch 10, followed by a series of seasonal updates through early 2026. If bugs persist, the roadmap suggests that the team will continue to roll out fixes alongside new content.
