Focus Entertainment posted a December Community Update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 on December 17, 2025, addressing ongoing connectivity problems, summarizing year-end community feedback, and sketching early plans for Patch 12 and next year’s content. The update begins by apologizing for connection issues that started after Patch 11.0 and points players to the published hotfix notes. Here you can find the official 11.2 patch notes.
Looking ahead, the studio thanked players for their support through 2025 and confirmed several items arriving in 2026. Patch 12 will add the Techmarine class, armed with the Omnissiah Axe, a new Operation called “Disruption,” new Battlefield Conditions for Stratagems, new Heroic weapons, and additional technical improvements. The Battlebarge Expansion has been delayed so the teams can ship a version they are satisfied with rather than meet a fixed schedule.
Focus also revealed upcoming cosmetic drops. The Raven Guard and the Carcharodons will be the next chapters to receive DLC packs in Patch 12, and a separate set of chapter-specific heads and voice packs for Blood Angels, Black Templars and Space Wolves is planned. The studio noted those voice packs are not included in Season Pass 2 and said each chapter pack will include more than 450 localized voicelines.
As a seasonal bonus, the update gave a few hints about the Operation “Disruption“: it takes place on Avarax, involves purging Xenos and aiding besieged Cadians, and will bring back an iconic campaign character. Focus asked players to expect more details in January. The update also spelled out mid-term roadmap items and quality-of-life work. The progression update noted on the Year 2 roadmap will be a full new feature, and the Datavault’s Ordeal system will be expanded. Contested Health will be rebalanced in Patch 13, but the team plans a series of smaller QoL changes beforehand, including a requested perk loadout feature. Siege mode will receive a major sandbox expansion and a second map down the line.
Developer responses to community ideas were included under the “Focus Together” section. The studio explained that a full modular customization overhaul is not feasible for the live game because migrating millions of save files would risk breaking player data. Other replies clarified art and production constraints for pauldron swaps, why bots will not receive team perks, and a cautious stance on changing Assault’s Jump Pack behavior until other jump-dash changes settle in. For players still grinding for cosmetics, the December community event runs from December 17 through December 31, 2025, launch Stratagems mode and complete two weekly or daily Stratagems at any difficulty to earn the Death or Glory left greave. Focus also reminded players that Weekly Stratagems now reset each Wednesday.
