Warframe fans were excited to find out that their favorite developer is preparing for another release. Soulframe is a new MMORPG set in the same universe as Warframe but with its own separate story and world map. Developer Digital Extremes revealed Soulframe at TennoCon 2022 this past weekend. The game will be free-to-play too!
Warframe is a fast-paced shooter set in the sci-fi universe. Soulframe, on the other hand, has an emphasis on melee combat and features many different types of weapons with unique gameplay mechanics to explore, including swordsmanship or dual weapon fighting styles. Not exactly what you would call “sequel” material, but director Steve Sinclair made this decision after overseeing his own game for over ten years, so who are we kidding? It’s just as good, if not better than anything he did before leaving Warfra Missed Opportunities

As Digital Extremes stated, their team is fully involved in the creation of this gem, and it’s really interested in the idea behind it. “Our team is really interested in this idea of nature and humanity colliding, and we’ll be exploring a lot of those themes through our own lens while playing with ideas of restoration and exploration.“
