Sony Studios Celebrate Death Stranding 2 Launch with Stunning Fan Art

When a PS Studios game reaches launch day, Sony’s various teams often commemorate the occasion with custom artwork shared on social media. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach recently got this kind of love, with several Sony studios and a third party joining the fun.

Housemarque kicked things off by illustrating Sam Porter Bridges sharing a cryptobiote cupcake with Arjun Devraj, the lead from Saros. It’s a quirky crossover you didn’t expect, but it kind of works. Then Santa Monica Studio contributed a piece showing Kratos and Atreus introducing Mimir to Sam’s buddy, Dollman, blending God of War vibes with Kojima’s universe.

Guerrilla Games also got in on the action. Their artwork features Aloy mingling with the cast of Death Stranding 2. It’s fitting since Guerrilla’s Decima engine powers both the original and the sequel. Sucker Punch Productions delivered a cool image of antagonist Higgs jamming out with Atsu from Ghost of Yotei, which is a neat musical mashup.

Not to be left out, 11bit Studios, a third party, shared artwork of Jan Dolski from The Alters trading snacks with Sam. It’s always interesting when outside studios join these celebrations, adding a fresh flavor.

Honestly, it’s mostly marketing fluff, but the artwork itself is genuinely superb. It’s fun to see these characters from different worlds interact, and it adds a bit of warmth to the launch hype.
