Sony Prepares to Expand PlayStation Experience with Trophies on PC

Sony appears to be testing support for PlayStation Trophies on PC. This development could offer PC gamers a more integrated and rewarding experience, similar to what PlayStation owners have enjoyed for years.

Sony has been steadily increasing its footprint in the PC gaming market, porting many of its hit PlayStation-exclusive games such as God of War, Spider-Man, and Horizon Zero Dawn. The intent seems clear: to offer the PlayStation experience on more platforms.

According to a recent report by TrueTrophies, the tracking service has discovered a new Trophy list with “PSPC” indicated as its platform. This suggests Sony could be in the early stages of integrating Trophy support into its PC titles.

Interestingly, the reported Trophy list seems compatible with the PS5, indicating that Sony might be testing cross-platform support for its Trophies. This aligns with previous reports stating that Sony is considering integrating PlayStation Network features into its future PC releases.

As for what’s next on Sony’s PC gaming agenda, Horizon Forbidden West – Complete Edition is set to release in early 2024. Additionally, Helldivers 2 is expected to be available for PC and PS5 in February of the upcoming year.

Sony’s exploration of Trophy support for PC titles can be seen as another step toward offering a more seamless gaming experience across platforms. While still unconfirmed, these early signs are promising for PC gamers looking for a more complete PlayStation experience.
