Sony considered to raise their PS5 games higher than $70 at one point…

According to Bloomberg’s report, it’s been revealed that Sony was initially planning to make the PS5 games higher than $70! However, in the report, it was confirmed that the prices were going to vary from title to title.

As a justification for all of this, Sony point to inflation and the high cost to develop and publish AAA titles nowadays. The production cost for games a decade ago was much lower than the amount you’ll need today. However, in this modern era, publishers can easily notify the world through social media and other platforms, unlike a few decades ago.

With the PS5 coming out on November 12th (IN JUST 2 DAYS!), it’s set to bring many great games with it, including Spider-Man: Miles Morales, The Pathless, Godfall, and more! Current-gen games will also come out for the PS5 with a performance enhancement. The other games will make their entry on the new console via backward compatibility. Find out more here for the games available at launch.
