Sonic Rumble is set to arrive in November on PC and mobile, according to Sega, following a series of delays. The team announced the window in a blog post and a new trailer that shows 32-player matches, classic characters, and a handful of future costume teasers. The game bills itself as an arcade-style royale where Sonic characters race through frantic mini-games and hazard-filled stages. Early tests were conducted over the past year, and the project experienced a few postponements.
Sega’s blog post and the trailer highlight the expected platforms as Steam, Google Play, and the Apple App Store, though no exact day in November was given. The footage teases familiar faces like Shadow and Cream, as well as a handful of costume packs featuring movie-inspired designs and characters from Sonic Riders. The developer says it used beta feedback to simplify the progression and rewards loop and to overhaul the onboarding and UI. New competitive systems are being added too, including skill-based abilities and joinable Crews so friends can play together more easily.
Check out the trailer below for a sneak peek at match flow and the costumes Sega has in store.
