SMITE will be available for next-gen consoles from day one

Hi-Rez Titan Forge’s SMITE is a popular MOBA in which players play as mythological gods from various pantheons, from Greek to Mayan. The game is one of the most popular games in the genre because unlike League of Legends and DOTA 2, which are only available for PC, you can play it on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.

In a Twitter post by Smite’s official Twitter account, they announced that the game would be arriving to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S from day one, via backward compatibility.

Making the jump to a next gen console?

However, it’s only going to be backwards compatible, so there won’t be any enhancements regarding performance or visuals. We’re hoping this will be a short-term plan, and that Titan Forge are planning a next-gen edition of SMITE in the coming future. For now, SMITE fans will have to stick to a PS4 and Xbox One version while playing on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The Xbox Series X and S will hit shelves on November 10th, while the PS5 will arrive two days later, on November 10th.

My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
