The world of SMITE 2 is about to become slightly different as the developers have rolled out an update that delivers a host of fixes and balance adjustments! Like whipping up a delightful recipe, a little tweaking can go a long way. Let’s dive into what this latest patch has stirred up.

One standout change is the fix preventing players from accidentally queuing for another match while still engaged in an ongoing one. It’s those little quality-of-life improvements that make for smoother gameplay. Players can now focus on their current matches without worrying about interruptions.

The item store overlay issue, which affected mini-map visibility, has also been paid attention to. It’s reassuring to see the developers swiftly addressing these concerns; it shows they listen to player feedback. Plus, Gladiator Shield and Shifters Shield have been added to Solo Role Tabs, definitely worth checking out if you enjoy solo play.

A few bugs were squashed, too! For instance, Achilles’ Combat Dodge/Spear Strike was activating more than intended during dashes, a pesky bug that could throw off your rhythm in battle. With this update, you can expect his abilities to reflect how they functioned in SMITE 1.

Patch Notes Summary

  • Players can no longer inadvertently queue for another game when they are in an active one.
  • Added another potential fix for an issue where the item store overlay impacts the mini-map.
  • Added Gladiator Shield and Shifters Shield Into Solo Role Tabs.
  • Fixed an issue where Jump stamps were triggering the UI Red Dot.
  • Fixed an issue where Wandering Market coin balance would not display correctly after a purchase.
  • Fixed an issue where Achilles Combat Dodge/Spear Strike was getting more activations than intended on dashes. This will now reflect the ability similar to how it was in SMITE 1.
  • Lowered the respawn timers in Assault.
  • Fixed an issue where Mulan was applying the wrong type of protection modifier with Grapple.
  • Fixed an issue where Pridewin was ignoring percentage based protection buffs.

This round of updates underscores how attentive SMITE 2’s developers are toward community sentiments and gameplay experience. Lowering respawn timers in Assault mode might bring fresh dynamics to matches, promoting quicker engagements and fast-paced action among players. Such shifts could rejuvenate strategies players use during combat!
