SMITE 2 has just received a quick OB13 hotfix that addresses some pesky bugs affecting Mercury and several crucial items. These fixes might seem small, but if you’ve been grinding with Mercury or relying on certain items, you know how annoying these issues could be.
OB13 July 1 Hotfix Patch Notes
- Fixed an issue where Mercury could use Special Delivery (3) while Rooted/Crippled
- Fixed an issue where Cripples would stop Mercury’s Sonic Boom (4)
- Mercury’s Sonic Boom (4) should now be less sensitive to colliding with world geometry. The team is continuing to work on further improvements in this area.
- Fixed an issue where Obsidian Shard, Demon Blade, Stone of Binding, and Hastened Fatalis were not providing stats or effects
It’s kinda wild that Mercury’s Sonic Boom was getting blocked by Cripples and stuck on terrain collisions—that’s gotta have frustrated a lot of players trying to pull off slick combos. Also, the fact that some items weren’t giving their stats or effects? Yikes. That could significantly impact builds and match outcomes.
These fixes indicate that Hi-Rez is paying close attention to the finer details, which is always good news for anyone invested in SMITE 2. Wonder how many matches got decided because of these glitches? I bet a few.
Have you been affected by these bugs? What’s your take on how Hi-Rez is handling these quick fixes?
