Sledgehammer Games has released the latest update for Call of Duty: WWII which actually hurts lots of fans despite one small but a big change in their way of play. It appears that they have lowered the XP gain for which players recognized it is similar to the previous CoD series. Not anymore, it’s “wallets time” I guess.
So, to have a bigger and better result at microtransactions you will need to push the players and buy whatever the game offers so they would have more advantage over other players, right? This problem reminds us mostly of Star Wars: Battlefront II, noticing it as the newest problem in the gaming era, even though the game hasn’t been released, yet.
So, apparently, players have noticed the lowered XP gain in Call of Duty: WWII and now the whole community is going mad at Call of Duty: WWII official Reddit page.
The reason, as Sledgehammer stated, is that the game was accidentally launched with “DOUBLE XP enabled” on it, which is a hell of a reason to have a good laugh, everyone. We, as a gaming community and a website, we support all the developers as it is our job to do so. But, we definitely stay on the community’s whenever it comes to a question of this caliber as the players are the future of gaming.
It is a cheeky way to take something from someone that has agreed and spent plenty of time playing it. Apparently, Sledgehammer has some kind of a button named “Double XP” and it was pressed during the official release. Now, there are more questions coming from this, but we’ll let the community speak for itself. It feels like Activision and Sledgehammer join EA and Dice on their way of “ripping wallets off”. The rest remains to be seen.
