EA posted the latest Weekly Grind for skate. with the Season 1 second event kicking off today. The 7-Ply Maple Harvest event runs for two weeks and the post calls out tuning changes made after community feedback with more adjustments planned for Season 2.
Players who log in before Dec 2 can claim 2000 Tix and 500 SVB that EA has granted to everyone. The update reminds players to spend Tix before Season 1 ends in the skate.Pass. Two free decks, Santa Cruz and Creature, are available in the store until Nov 25, 2025 at 9 AM PT. For the official event rundown see the event blog.
The post reiterates that softlocks remain a high priority. Back-end changes pushed last week aim to prevent new softlocks and the team is working to help players who are already stuck. The Weekly Grind points players to the community threads and support resources for reporting specific problems.
Key items called out as fixed or being tracked include community park fusion with the Skate-o-Ween park which was fixed on Nov 12, and a number of issues planned for upcoming builds. EA lists ongoing problems such as co-op challenges failing to start for some party members, invisible party members when joining friends on other servers, and a replay export stutter issue that the post says will be fixed in 0.29.
EA also warns about a bug that can cause players to lose SVB while redeeming Skate Pass content and asks affected players to post a photo of the faulty purchase in the forums so support can assist. For troubleshooting connection errors the post points players to the developer connectivity FAQ.
The Weekly Grind shares community clips and images featuring trick attempts and crew moments and says Discord sweeps will run during the 7-Ply Maple Harvest event. The team is giving away 100 IRL Year 5 decks across those sweeps. Players can submit clips and screenshots for possible feature via the official skate. reel submission page.
We previously covered the rollout that began with Update 0.28.0 which started Season 1 and delivered a number of PC improvements and fixes. Read that coverage for background on recent fixes and PC changes in our update story. The Weekly Grind also follows an earlier known issues post that listed many of the same problems and workarounds we reported on previously.

What players should do now
Log in, grab the free currency and decks if they are still available, and report any persistent softlocks or storefront issues through the recommended forum threads so the team can gather evidence. The Weekly Grind asks players to try simple workarounds where suggested such as restarting the game or teleporting to another party member after a server transition if they encounter invisible players.
Questions remain about the timing and scope of fixes slated for Season 2 but the post promises more tuning and a first pass for a character update coming in S2. The team says it will keep players updated on its skate_status account on X.
