skate. is one week away from X Games San Van, with Full Circle planning to open the Stadium to everyone from July 21, 2026. The latest Weekly Grind also confirms that update 0.31.5 is scheduled for the same day, while the team continues to track a long list of bugs.
The developer shared the July 14 calendar in its official Steam announcement. More X Games San Van information is scheduled for Thursday, July 16, before the event and open Stadium access begin on July 21.
Stadium access and X Games San Van
General access to The Stadium is currently available through July 21 via the skate.Premium Pass or a 24-hour Stadium Pass costing 250 Rip Chips. Once X Games San Van begins, the Stadium will enter its open-access period from July 21 through August 25, with no Rip Chips or Premium Pass required for the rest of Season 4.
An X Games Quick Drop store rotation started on July 14. The Global Celebration store rotation also continues through July 21.
Two community contests are in the calendar
The Fingerflips Video Contest is in its final stretch. Players can submit a 15-to-30-second fingerflip clip through the skate.reel UGC page for a chance to win one of the remaining Year 5/seagull decks. The official contest rules contain the full submission requirements.
The second community UGC event, Design a Deck, is scheduled to take place in the official skate. Discord. The post says it will start Friday, July 17, while the calendar lists the contest window as July 16-31. Players will submit deck graphic designs for a chance to see their work added to the game, with more details due Friday.
The Weekly Grind also asks players to continue reporting problems through the official bug reports forum.
Known issues still being investigated
The current list covers problems with exporting Replay Editor videos, black screens during challenges and fast travel, pinned tasks, graphics settings, mission progression, party access, and shop bundle information. Players on PC can use WebM instead of MP4 when exports fail, while restarting the game may help with some PlayStation 4 and Xbox One black-screen problems.
AMD driver version 26.6.1 is also causing skate. to crash. The listed workaround is to return to driver version 26.5.2 and restart the game. Other tracked problems affect trick detection, wallrides, footplants, grinds, camera behavior, Quick Drops, social spectating, the friends list, and the Replay Editor.
The community section featured clips credited to geekwithoutfear, RawSpam, JinkouTheKid, and Canasto2K, including a backflip hippy flip, a Double Bench Plant, and The Big Benihana.
