Six Games Bring Their Katana Moments to PlayStation’s Latest Share of the Week
PlayStation's next theme will be "Breathtaking View," with entries due by 11:59 PM PT on August 26, 2026.
Katana captures take center stage in PlayStation Blog’s latest Share of the Week feature, bringing together scenes from Ghost of Yōtei, Cyberpunk 2077, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, Fortnite, and Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Each image gives the weapon a different look, from a tense samurai duel to glowing cyberpunk steel.
Katana captures cross six different games
Atsu draws her blade as a duel begins in Ghost of Yōtei. The close-up capture from call_me_xavii catches the tension just before the fight starts.
Cyberpunk 2077 takes the theme in a very different direction, with a glowing katana displayed against a dark, futuristic backdrop. JAA_PhMode_0510’s capture makes the blade look right at home in Night City.
Jin appears from above in Ghost of Tsushima, surrounded by red foliage with his katana extended below him. The bird’s-eye composition gives JLunarTraveler’s photo a calm, carefully framed feel.
A red-filled scene gives the blade in Death Stranding 2: On The Beach a stark, almost otherworldly presence. rorottino’s entry uses the color surrounding the character to make the katana the brightest point in the frame.
Fortnite brings some colorful energy to the collection. A masked character raises a katana in front of bright flowers in xenobitz’s screenshot, proving the theme works just as well for a playful battle royale moment.
The final featured entry shows Narmaya holding her katana at her side in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, in a post shared by crimsonashtree. Together, the six submissions show how much variety a single Photo Mode theme can produce.
“Breathtaking View” is the next theme
PlayStation’s next Share of the Week theme will ask players to capture breathtaking views and vistas from any game. Entries must use #PSshare and #PSBlog and arrive by 11:59 PM PT on August 26, 2026.
PlayStation also points participants toward its Photo Mode catalog for more games that can provide a scenic shot.
