Shoko Hamada, the model who appeared on a bikini poster in the original Metal Gear Solid 3, has been photographed in a new poster for Metal Gear Solid Delta. The image, shared by her husband, shows Hamada alongside one of her children and highlights a human moment inside a high-profile remake.
Hideo Kojima has long mixed serious story beats with offbeat gags, and the pin-up posters have been one of those recurring bits. Fans worried the remake might remove or alter them, but Legacy Mode preserves the originals while the current New Style changes some visuals.
The model is Shoko Hamada, originally featured on a poster in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. In Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater the original posters remain available in Legacy Mode, while New Style appears to swap some images, including the one featuring Hamada.
Hamada’s husband shared the replacement poster, which shows her with one of their children, turning a mildly risque detail into a surprisingly warm update for long-time players.

Ah, I wasn’t expecting a life update on someone I saw in a poster 20+ years ago, and honestly, this is a neat moment to read about. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater releases on Aug. 28 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Fans will likely spot more references to the original once the game is in players’ hands.
