Season 6 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone will bring horror icons Jason Voorhees, Chucky, and the Predator as part of a spooky update called The Haunting. The season is set to begin on October 9 at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. BST.
Called The Haunting, the season adds a new limited mode, fresh maps, a Halloween makeover for Nuketown, and a Battle Pass that includes the Predator. Slasher Deathmatch is the headline mode, letting players take turns as slashers in frantic four-round matches.
Slasher Deathmatch will select two of eight survivors at the start of each round to become slashers. A new pair of slashers is picked each round until all eight players have had a turn. Jason wields a machete and a combat axe, can teleport, move faster when players are in his line of sight, and trigger a Rage Mode that grants temporary stun immunity and reduced detectability until he gets close. Chucky carries a combat knife and combat axe, moves faster than other players, and can revive after being ‘killed’ for up to six lives. Predator returns as a Battle Pass Operator and Jason will also be available as a standalone Operator outside the Slasher mode.

Multiplayer
- Three New Maps: New 6v6 Core maps Gravity and Rig, plus the Mothball Strike map, all available at launch.
- Boo-Town: Nuketown receives a Halloween-themed variant with spiders, skeletons, and Jack-o-Lanterns for a night-time map.
- Slasher Deathmatch: Play as slasher or survivor in a hide-and-seek style mode inspired by horror movie villains.
- Season 06 Ranked Play: A new Ranked Play season for Multiplayer with fresh seasonal rewards.
Zombies
- New Haunted Havoc LTM: Fight Rampage-Induced zombies with pumpkin heads across six maps, and grab items dropped from Jack-o-Lanterns that can be Mimics.
- New GobbleGum: Jacked Lanterns Whimsical GobbleGum brings pumpkin-headed zombies and spooky effects to all Zombies modes.
- New Leaderboard Events: Two fresh Leaderboard Events offer new challenges and rewards.
Warzone
- The Haunting Map Variants: Night-time variants arrive on Verdansk and Rebirth Island, each with unique surprises.
- Zombie Royale: Zombie Royale returns with new zombie abilities and map features, where slain Operators rejoin as the undead.
- Casual Z: Battle Royale Casual Z and Resurgence Casual Z mix human players with regular and armored zombies on The Haunting-themed maps.
- Season 06 Ranked Play: A new Ranked Play season for Battle Royale and Resurgence with seasonal rewards.
General Content
- Weapons Detail: Four new weapons debut, including the Dresden 9mm SMG, Merrick 556 Assault Rifle, X52 Resonator Special Weapon, and a Chainsaw Melee Weapon. Two new attachments arrive as well: the GPR91 Double-Barrel Conversion and the GPMG-7 Muzzle Booster.
- New Events and Rewards: A series of seasonal events will offer haunted Weapon Blueprints, Operator Skins, Calling Cards, Finishing Moves, Emotes, and more.
- Battle Pass and BlackCell: The Haunting Battle Pass adds haunted cosmetics across free and premium tiers, while BlackCell grants extra rewards, including the Dread Operator.
- Season 06 Operators: Predator appears in the Battle Pass, Dread is available through BlackCell, and Jason Voorhees and Dek from Predator: Badlands join the roster.
- Season 06 Free Trial: Black Ops 6 will be free to play for a full week, including Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies access.
