It was about time to see this happening. One of my favorite anti-cheats of all time, Easy Anti-Cheat, will have the chance to slap bad boys in Sea of Thieves. Yes, Rare has decided to add a proper anti-cheat to the game, because you know, as it currently stands, all Multiplayer games are suffering from cheaters.
Rare has announced that Easy Anti-Cheat will arrive in its mid-season update, which is scheduled to be released next week. If you’re wondering if EAC is good, let me give you an example. Easy Anti-Cheat is already defending the pride of Fortnite and Apex Legends, and it’s doing really well. It’s quite an intrusive anti-cheat, and if something’s fishy, it always tends to snap at it.
For those who have gone to the Safer Seas mode to alleviate PvP encounters, you can easily come back after this, as you won’t be getting “fishy” players as much. Because it offered fewer rewards, I mean, your only way back to getting them would be to go back to the proper MP mode.
