Footage from the now-canceled Transformers: Reactivate has surfaced. After news broke about its cancellation by developer Splash Damage, this leaked gameplay footage gave us a glimpse into what could have been.
The London studio, known for titles like Gears Tactics, took to their social media on Wednesday to share some uncompromising news with fans. They announced that they’ve decided to end development on Transformers: Reactivate. Can you imagine? All that hard work down the drain!
Splash Damage stated, “Today, we have some tough news to share; the decision has been made to end the development of Transformers: Reactivate.” They followed up with concerns about potential job losses within the studio, a tough pill to swallow in these times.
The origins of this leaked footage remain a mystery, but it looks like it’s from an early development build. We get a taste of third-person shooting action and vehicle combat, which would’ve excited many players! Announced back in December 2022 for PC and consoles, this title was set up as a co-op adventure for 1-4 players. Sounds like it had great potential!
Splash Damage expressed gratitude toward their team and Hasbro for their support throughout this project. It’s always sad when things don’t pan out as we hope, especially when there’s so much passion involved.

This whole situation reminds me of those moments when you’re hyped about something, only for it to slip away at the last second. What do you think about all this? Were you looking forward to playing it?
