S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl‘s first major expansion, Cost of Hope, will take players into the Iron Forest and the grounds of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant on August 20, 2026. A new recording offers an early look at both locations.

The video was shared through an official Steam announcement focused on the expansion. It invites players to visit the Iron Forest before turning toward the grounds of the Chornobyl NPP.

Cost of Hope visits the Iron Forest and Chornobyl NPP

The recording provides a short preview of the places that will feature in Cost of Hope. The expansion will be the first major addition to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, with its release date set for August 20, 2026.

Earlier details confirmed that the expansion will open the center of the Zone on that date. This new recording adds another look at the setting players will encounter during the journey.
