We’re sure you’re all familiar with RuneScape. It is an MMORPG that’s been around for a very long time, set in a fantasy world with magic, dragons, and other interesting stuff. Well, today, the publisher and developer of RuneScape – Jagex, has revealed some big news for all of the RuneScape lovers.
Jagex CEO Phil Mansell stated:
Making them [the RuneScape games] accessible to the Steam community is an important step in achieving this goal. We’re excited to see RuneScape debut on Steam from October 14th and look forward to Old School RuneScape’s arrival next year, as we enable even more gamers to access and explore our rich and engaging living game worlds.
After two decades, RuneScape is finally arriving at Steam. But now, both the classic and the modern version have been listed in the Steam store, and they’ll come on October 14th. Players can choose to either link their already existing accounts or create a new one.
Cross-platform play will also be available, so players from mobile devices, the desktop launcher, and Steam will be able to play together. The old school RuneScape edition will come out somewhere in 2021, and it’ll be free to play in other news. Right now, you can expand your wishlist by adding RuneScape here.
