People Can Fly, the studio that has joined Microsoft in development of a new game, is working on an upcoming Xbox AAA title. The partnership was supposed to inject life in Xbox, but keep the type of game a secret. Well, that’s no longer such, as Project Maverick has been revealed to be an upcoming PvP shooter.

The conspiracy surrounding Project Maverick has only deepened with recent job listings posted by People Can Fly, offering a hint of what the game might be. There’s also a listing for a Senior Level Designer, which says that Project Maverick is likely to be a PvP shooter. The specific mention of experience designing PvP maps and working on shooters speaks for itself.

Project Maverick is not the only title developed by People Can Fly. Instead, there are multiple projects that are supposed to come out. From VR to self-published action adventures and a partnership with Square Enix on a new game, there is plenty coming out from People Can Fly. There even a rumor of an RPG shooter in collab with PlayStation.

The gaming industry has been filled out with tons of layoffs, and People Can Fly has also had some issues around that too. Despite that, they’re still working on the projects, and we’re about to see what this PvP title is all about very soon.
