A fresh rumor says the original Halo is being rebuilt for PlayStation 5 as a complete remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, and that it will include modern shooter features such as sprint, according to the Halo Leaks account on X.
I can definitely confirm the Halo CE Remake will have sprint & "modern gameplay mechanics".
I'm of the belief it's gameplay will be similar to the new Halo Multiplayer game, which I also believe is Halo 7's MP.

The report names the studio now billed as Halo Studios and says updates on the franchise are due at the Halo World Championship later this month. The leaker notes the PS5 may be announced as a target platform for the remake, though the event itself might not be the moment that news is confirmed. Where things get thorny is the design direction. The leak claims the remake will adopt “modern gameplay mechanics“, explicit examples include sprint, which has historically split the community.
Halo’s roots go back to 2001, when the original game helped put console shooters on the map. That version later received a 10th anniversary treatment and eventually became part of the Master Chief Collection. Microsoft has already taken some traditionally Xbox franchises to PlayStation, with examples including Forza Horizon 5 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. For now, this is a rumor based on a leaker with a mixed track record; Halo Studios has confirmed no official release date or platform list. If the remake arrives on PS5 and follows the described modernization, the team must balance legacy expectations with the desire to bring the game up to contemporary shooter standards.
