Cyberpunk 2077 players have been closely examining patch 2.3, which CD Projekt Red has referred to as the game’s final update for some time now. Yet, fans on Reddit have picked up on new details that might hint at more content coming, possibly tied to a casino that was originally planned but cut before launch.
In patch 2.3, new billboards advertise a casino, featuring cards, chips, and slogans such as “Join the game” and “Every Saturday big win.” This has led to speculation that a casino may appear in an upcoming update or even in a future installment, such as Cyberpunk 2. Curious, right?
The casino in question is the North Oak Casino & Country Club located in Westbrook. Players can see it from a distance, but it’s inaccessible because the tunnel leading to it is closed, and the AV vehicles needed to reach it isn’t in the game. So for now, it’s a tease more than a destination.
However, it turns out the story doesn’t end there. The original Reddit poster later shared on Twitter that the files found actually relate to the Pacifica Casino, not the North Oak one already visible in the game. Pacifica has been expanded since the Phantom Liberty DLC, becoming a more developed neighborhood home to the Voodoo Boys gang. Adding a casino there would fit Night City’s vibe perfectly, given its reputation for indulgence.
Honestly, I can’t help but wonder if we might finally get to gamble and hang out in a casino. I’m not the best poker player, but I’d love to see how my V fares at a high-rollers table. What about you? Do you think this could be the next big feature or maybe just a leftover tease?
While we wait to find out, patch 2.3 still offers plenty to enjoy. It includes new vehicles, an automatic driving mode inspired by relaxed YouTube cruising videos, and improved frame rates on the PS5 Pro with options for quality and performance modes.
Yikes, it’s kinda funny how a simple billboard can get so many fans talking and theorizing. What do you think? Is CDPR really holding back one last surprise, or is this just wishful thinking?
