Ray-Tracing coming to Minecraft for better visual experience

Minecraft will fortunate its current gameplay by bringing the most up-to-date technology in the gaming world. To enhance the visual experience, Minecraft will adopt RTX by the end of 2019 and create a new methodology for building virtual worlds, no matter the player ages.

We’ve all been bored by the same old look, and we’re finally ready to get an intensified and more immersive spectrum in Minecraft.

What Ray Tracing does is adding reflections based on the surroundings and the current light. Whether is that a sunray reflection to blocks, breaching through open gaps in the deepest dungeons, or a nice lake at which the tree reflection is similar to the real world, all of that shall become reality in the never-aging Minecraft.

Below you can find the RTX Ray Tracing Reveal Trailer, published by Nvidia.

A peek at the result is stunning. Soft shadows lend their magic to caves and nighttime environments. Reflections bring the game’s ubiquitous water to life. Refractions and scattering effects transform everything from glass to glittering diamonds.

Nvidia and Mojang will also add path tracing, which is an enhanced form of ray tracing and stimulates the movement of light throughout a particular scene. This will become a reality on the Windows 10 version of the game.

Ray tracing sits at the center of what we think is next for Minecraft,” said Saxs Persson, franchise creative director of Minecraft at Microsoft. “RTX gives the Minecraft world a brand-new feel to it. In normal Minecraft, a block of gold just appears yellow, but with ray tracing turned on, you really get to see the specular highlight, you get to see the reflection, you can even see a mob reflected in it.
