Rockstar Games has never, ever said anything about an upcoming DLC pack, nor it promised any of them. We’re more than sure every GTA 5 player would love a Single Player story expansion. However, Rockstar Games is kind off the hook when it comes to that. Rather, they will focus on improving GTA Online even further than what is now.
Grand Theft Auto IV had some good add-ons, providing additional content, but apparently, the developers do not feel the same about GTA 5. As Gamespot Noted, they’d rather focus on GTA Online, and leave GTA 5 how it is. They have also posted a portion of the conversation with Imran Sarwar on whether the opting out of extra content was a good or bad idea.
Sarwar added that Rockstar “would love to” make single-player DLC for its other games in the future. “As a company we love single-player more than anything, and believe in it absolutely–for storytelling and a sense of immersion in a world, multiplayer games don’t rival single-player games. With GTA V, the single-player game was absolutely massive and very, very complete,” Sarwar said.
It seems that there’s a reason for that, which appears to be due to lack of resources and lost focus on another game title, Red Dead Redemption 2. Considering themselves for Perfectionists, Rockstar has never thought that there will be any other reason why to release a single player expansion in Grand Theft Auto 5.
Now, it feels like it’s already too late for Grand Theft Auto 5 to receive any new DLC pack or extra content, but if it does, it will surely receive community’s love. Therefore, we do not want to rule out any of the potential outcome, even if Sarwar has pointed out there won’t be any Extra Single Player Content.
