Grand Theft Auto 6 fans have spotted a curious change in one of the characters featured in the trailers, sparking chatter about why Rockstar Games might have altered the design. The timing is interesting, as it follows a TikToker from Florida claiming Rockstar used his likeness without compensation.
Originally, Rockstar planned to launch GTA 6 in 2025, but the release date was pushed back to May 26, 2026. Despite the delay, the developer has kept fans hooked by releasing a second trailer and nearly 100 screenshots, revealing new cars, locations, and possibly familiar faces from GTA 5.
Character Change Linked to Florida Man’s Likeness Claim
The character appears in both trailers wearing a white vest, gold jewelry featuring a bull, and sunglasses. Fans noticed his hairstyle changed between trailers, which has led to speculation that Rockstar modified the character after a TikTok user named Zoeepoppy publicly claimed the character was based on him.
In a TikTok video, Zoeepoppyy said, “They cloned Tyrone. Change the character to my name—that’s me! GTA, I need my money, man.” Many fans agreed the resemblance was striking, pointing out details like the nose shape. Some expressed that Rockstar should have paid him instead of altering the character.
However, opinions are mixed. Some viewers think the TikToker might have missed a chance to build a brand around the character by calling out Rockstar prematurely. Comments included, “He should have just waited till the game was published at least,” and “Had the opportunity of a lifetime to create a whole brand for himself and threw it away.”
The community note above claims that Rockstar wasn’t asked for money, when they actually were.
