Shortly after its transition on the Epic Games Store and going free-to-play, Rocket League has undoubtedly gained many new players, who are now frustrated due to this new issue.
The official support page of Rocket League.com has also stated that Split-screen mode is currently unavailable for Nintendo Switch, and a fix is being worked on.
