Rocket League has entered into many distinct partnerships, and Mortal Kombat could be the next. The news isn’t a leak, either. The tease comes directly from Rocket League’s social media, leading us to believe this could be khaos.
There seems to be something in the water at the moment. Only a day after leaked news of a Fortnite and Mortal Kombat collaboration was seemingly confirmed, Rocket League doesn’t want to miss the party. A four-second teaser was all needed to send social media into a frenzy.
Rocket League’s official X channel posted a compact clip that explains everything we need to know. We see the classic RL ball bouncing out of the goal. The goal explodes into fire and smoke, but something iconic happens as the ball bounces back to the middle of the arena.
A spear flies out of the miasma of smoke, and a recognizable voice screams: “Get over here!” In the blink of an eye, the ball has fallen foul of the smoke and flames, never to be seen again—until kick-off.
