If you’ve played RoboCop: Rogue City, you might be curious about the upcoming standalone expansion, Unfinished Business, releasing on 17th July. It promises more of the hyper-violent first-person action that Teyon has delivered so far.
The trailer lays out what’s on offer: a fresh story, new enemies, and additional weapons. Most of the campaign will unfold in OmniTower, but there will also be flashbacks showing protagonist Alex Murphy’s life before becoming RoboCop. Interestingly, you’ll even get a chance to control ED-209 for a while.
Standalone expansions like this have become a neat way to add value without building a whole new game from scratch. While it’s fair to wonder if it can stand on its own two cybernetic legs, the latest content appears to be enough to keep fans of the original engaged. I kind of like these expansions; they let you jump back into a familiar world with some fresh twists.
Are you still hooked on RoboCop: Rogue City and ready for more? Or do you think the shooter has had its run? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below. I’m curious if this expansion will pull players back in or if it’s just a minor side note in the game’s story.
