Riot Games has published a preview for Patch 26.12, the final League of Legends update before MSI 2026. The tournament will run on Patch 26.13, so this is the last balancing pass before the international event starts. On X, lead gameplay designer Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison said Riot is still watching how 26.11 is landing in bot lane, where enchanters are doing a lot of the work.
Patch 26.12 Preview!
MSI is on Patch 26.13, so this is the penultimate patch before then.
There are a few things that we'll be monitoring on the 16.11 patch as we see how the 16.11 changes impact the Bot Lane meta, which is currently pretty heavily dominated by Enchanters and… pic.twitter.com/9zElIo87cn

The preview points to buffs for Yuumi, Jax, Gwen, Aatrox, Hwei, Syndra, Tristana and Sylas. Nerfs are listed for Xin Zhao, Nocturne, Lee Sin, Orianna, Ryze, Cassiopeia and Varus. Riot says those plans are still subject to change because the team is collecting more data from Patch 26.11.
That adds up to at least 15 champions being touched in some way, and Teleport is also in line for system changes. Leung-Harrison said Riot wants the spell to matter more for cross-map movement and fight joins, rather than mostly serving as a shield trick in pro play. To that end, the shield’s duration should come down while the shield itself gets a little larger. Riot is also folding in the ARAM Mayhem update and the new Ranked 5s mode that it outlined in its latest LoL dev update.
Patch 26.12 looks like one of those updates that can tug on both solo queue and pro play at once. Tell us what you think in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
