Even if Returnal is one of the most exciting third-person shooter roguelike video games globally, it still has numerous flaws that are unacceptable for the players. One of them is the save file system which doesn’t allow players on a lengthy session to keep from where they left, making the game extremely time-consuming for those who fail.
Apparently, Housemarque is currently looking for a solution to add a mid-run save option without breaking the game’s integrity, allowing the players to continue from where they left without worries. The game has received numerous patches, among which one broke the file save feature, for which it was reverted. It’s useless having breathtaking visuals if the game doesn’t allow you to enjoy playing.
In a recent interview with Axios Gaming via VGC, Housemarque’s marketing director, Mikael Havari, stated that the developers are listening to the feedback given by the players, and some systems will take place soon. According to his words, Housemarque understands the necessity to build such features and disperse fans’ difficulties.
“We understand that there are some systems in place that are currently a hindering factor.” It seems that the company is looking for multiple solutions connected to other games as well. “Currently, we just don’t know exactly what it is. So it’s very difficult to announce anything, because I think there’s a lot of different people looking for different things.” – Said Havari.
