Rematch Season 6 Will Rework Player Progression Around 10 Contracts
Players will need to level and slot badges to advance, while existing Player Levels determine their legacy cap rewards.

Season 6 will turn Rematch’s Player Level progression into 10 contracts, from Baller to Icon. Players will earn match XP and upgrade badges tied to their on-pitch actions to advance, according to Sloclap’s Season 6 dev blog.
Each contract has its own levels. To move up, players must reach the current contract’s level cap and meet its badge requirements. Every level awards Blocks, with higher contracts paying out more per level. Icon has no level cap, so players can keep earning levels and Blocks after reaching it.
Ranked matches will require the Amateur Contract. Players who reached Player Level 5 or higher before Season 6 begins will start with Amateur already unlocked.
Badges connect contract progress to playstyle
Badges unlock through different match actions and level up as players repeat those actions. Contracts require players to slot upgraded badges, with specific requirements at each stage. For example, the Pro Contract calls for three slots filled with two 2-star badges and one 1-star badge. Players can also put badges on their Player Card independently of their contract.
Filling every contract slot with badges from the same category grants an archetype. Three Goalkeeper badges create the Rampart archetype, while three 1-star Attack badges earn Striker. Three 2-star badges from one category grant Vanguard. Archetype names improve as badges level up, and completing a contract turns its archetype name into a Player Title for the Player Card.
Players can review their Contract Career in the Profile menu. The record is public, so others can view it when they visit a player’s profile.
Current Player Levels determine legacy cap rewards
Sloclap will use each player’s existing Player Level when the new system goes live to award legacy caps. The tiers are:
- Tier 1 Cap: Player Level 1 to 99
- Tier 2 Cap: Player Level 100 and above
- Tier 3 Cap: One of the 5,000 highest Player Levels
Players also receive the caps from every tier below their own. Since levels will be locked when the new system launches, players can still raise their Player Level before the Blue Lock season ends to try for a higher reward tier.
