Sloclap posted Mini Dev Update #7 on Steam on December 17, 2025, summarizing what landed with Patch 7 and what players can expect as Season 1 closes and Season 2 approaches. The note walks through end-of-season rewards, Battle Pass tuning, a new leaver penalty, and plans for community items tied to Discord and future patches.
Ranked rewards
The update confirms end-of-season Ranked rewards for players who peaked at Platinum or higher. Winners will receive a set of shorts that match the Season 0 shirts; players will get the shorts for their highest achieved rank plus every rank below it down to Platinum. The studio said there are no plans to retroactively hand out the Season 0 shirts.
Battle Pass progression
One of the concrete gameplay changes in Patch 7 is a substantial reduction in Battle Pass grind. The XP required per Battle Pass token has been lowered from 1,750 to 800, with tier token costs adjusted accordingly to create a smoother unlock curve. The studio also mentioned it is looking at additional progression systems like daily and weekly missions, though those are not confirmed.
1v1 Limited Time Mode and future patches
Players who tested the 1v1 Limited Time Mode during the beta helped shape the mode through feedback. Sloclap said the 1v1 LTM will officially release with Patch 8 in late January and will be available in Custom Matches as well.
Discord items, custom titles, and community rewards
After earning Discord’s “Breakout Hit” badge for fast community growth, Sloclap ran a giveaway and plans to add free, permanent Discord-themed player card items for everyone. Custom player titles for community event winners are also being explored and are tentatively planned for Patch 9. These community items aim to reward participation without requiring extra purchases.
Esports and community tournaments
Sloclap reiterated that studio-run esports are still a long way off and the game needs more polish before hosting official competitive events. At the same time, several community groups are already running their own tournaments; Sloclap said it is exploring ways to support and sponsor those community-run events gradually.
Leaver penalty and moderation
Patch 7 enables a leaver penalty to discourage intentional disconnects. Players who intentionally leave a match now receive a three-minute cooldown during which they cannot queue for any game mode. The temporary timeout is intended to reduce disruptive behavior and to mitigate an exploit where the ball could get stuck if the controlling player disconnects; a proper bug fix is in progress. Sloclap also noted that broader in-game moderation systems are under design.
Player feedback and next steps
Sloclap credited the Patch 7 beta with high participation and said player reports directly influenced changes such as the new Dribble Push Ball variation, which now has long and short versions. The studio said Patch 8 will continue to address movement and core gameplay tweaks, and it will monitor recent additions like the goalkeeper punching move and shorter match timers for further tuning.
