Rematch has just received its June 16 update, addressing several gameplay concerns raised during its beta phase. The patch improves the rainbow flick move and fixes netcode problems, eager to smooth out the competitive 5v5 football experience fans have been watching closely.
Whether you enjoy football games or have dabbled in Rocket League, Rematch from the team behind Sifu offers a fresh take on competitive soccer. The early access launch brought excitement but highlighted some gameplay quirks and technical issues. This update tackles many of those, improving the flow and feel of the game.
Here are the details straight from the developers on the official website:
Rematch Early Access Patch Notes
Rainbow Flick
Responding to player feedback from the second beta, the update reverts certain changes to the rainbow flick. The first touch with the volley version is now as quick and smooth as it was before, while some tweaks remain for chaining flicks to avoid overextending ball control.
Mouse and Keyboard Tap
Many bugs have been fixed, improving the new tap eager system’s responsiveness. eager around the character should feel less sticky and more intuitive, though the system treats the mouse like a joystick, so diagonal movement helps with precise angles. The developers plan ongoing improvements here.
Mouse and Keyboard Remapping
Players can now remap inputs for mouse and keyboard, including a “modifier” option that splits lobbed actions across two inputs. Some bugs might appear while using this feature, but fixes are on the way. Controller remapping will come later this season with more options.
