Hey officers, the latest Ready or Not update news is here! Volume 86 of the development briefing spills details on the free Los Sueños Stories update, new weapon gameplay clips, and some significant changes to suspects’ behavior thanks to the latest difficulty system. It’s been a bit longer than usual between briefs, but this one’s packed with juicy info worth your time.
First, “Down the Rabbit Hole” just launched—a lore series on the VOID Interactive YouTube channel hosted by well-known community lore sleuths Isaac Morgan and Shayne, Please Shut Up. The first episode digs into the mission “Thank You, Come Again” and if you’re into Ready or Not’s storylines, you’ll want to check it out and leave a comment to get more episodes going!
Now, about those missions. Two fresh ones are coming: Hunger Strike (formerly known as Fast Food) and Stolen Valor. Hunger Strike is a fan favorite from early access days, now fully polished with years of design improvements. Picture a chaotic fast-food restaurant scenario where your squad needs to bring order. The other mission, Stolen Valor, is a tense search and rescue deep in hostile territory inside a run-down apartment building. The setting’s got this gritty vibe with a central staircase that’s a tactical hotspot for both you and the bad guys.
This restaurant will definitely pose a health and safety risk to your team.
This dilapidated building is a high-rise in the eyes of the Rollers gang and Los Sueños decay.
Weapon fans, prepare. The update shows off some fresh gear in action with videos of the M32A1 Multi-shot Grenade Launcher, MKV .50AE Pistol, TRPL Less-Lethal Pepperball Pistol, and the 590M Mag-fed Shotgun. The M32A1 looks especially deadly and comes with a slick new magazine-check UI for weapons with rotating ammo cylinders, like the .357 magnum revolver. You can even run two grenade launchers if you’re feeling reckless—one primary and one long tactical. The MKV pistol screams overkill but hey, desperate times, right? The pepperball pistol and mag-fed shotgun round out the new options with some tactical variety.

Patch Notes Highlights: Suspect AI & Difficulty System Changes
- Suspect AI behavior has been overhauled with new squad tactics like Rally, Support, Attack, and Retreat now active on about half the missions in Standard mode, and nearly all but one mission on Hard difficulty. Casual mode will not have squad behaviors.
- Weapons caches are more widely placed in missions, letting suspects arm themselves if unarmed. Players can secure these caches to stop that.
- Many fixes address weird suspect quirks, like suspects running at you with melee weapons being treated as unarmed due to stress system bugs.
- Experienced suspects now pick firing modes intelligently, switching between semi-auto and full-auto depending on range, making them deadlier and less predictable, especially on harder difficulties.
- Surrendered suspects have a higher chance to get back up and grab weapons, making it important for players to watch their backs and secure downed teammate weapons.
The devs spent months testing these tweaks with surveys and focus groups, cleaning up legacy code and inconsistencies. It sounds like this AI revamp will make engagements feel way more tense and unpredictable. Yikes, right? I’m curious how many of you will get thrown off by suspects suddenly rallying or switching firing modes mid-fight!
As for the console release date, it’s still under wraps but the announcement is said to be close. Summer looks like a busy time for Ready or Not fans, with the Los Sueños Stories update and console launch both coming soon.
