Right after the significant changes to Rainbow Six Siege and the release of Year 3 content, Ubisoft has noted another victory, a victory the whole R6Siege community wanted to see. Rainbow Six Siege has managed to gather 176,208 concurrent players, according to SteamCharts.
The most crucial factor in this is that Steam charts are not monitoring the number of players playing through Uplay and not Steam, for which misses the real concurrent number of players. In any case, it’s quite a big success for everyone that is supporting the game.
A year ago, in January 2016, Rainbow Six Siege’s concurrent player count was around 45,000 – 65,000 players on Steam, but still, missing the Uplay number of players. Ubisoft has done an exceptional job over the past two years, striving to improve the game in any perspective. Ubisoft is kind of familiar with their slow start, and everyone knows they’re only starting on the wrong foot, and as the time goes by, they tend to improve any title they own.
For example, if you look at The Division or Ghost Recon Wildlands, they also had a bad start, for which Ubisoft made a big turnaround and strengthened their communities as the time flew by.
Back to Rainbow Six Siege, after Operation Health launched, things changed. More precisely, during Operation Health we’ve been accommodating to experience new types of glitches, but at the end of the Operation, Ubisoft has genuinely fixed most of the annoying issues within the game.
Even before Operation Health, we have made an article claiming that Rainbow Six Siege is a modern version of Counter-Strike. It is a reason to give it a go for, and experience the fun and quality gameplay it offers. Now, after all the previous Operations have finished with quite a triumphant manner, Operation Chimera has made another move setting up new R6Siege concurrent players peak.
We’re delighted regarding this success and would love to see Rainbow Six Siege as a big contender for the best FPS game of this year, while also encouraging the competitivity and prices on the E-sports scene.
