We can confirm that the game gets better and better as we go from one week into another. However, it feels like the devs just cannot remain calm until everything’s fixed. This week, there will be new PUBG update that’s going to address both Client and Server Performance Issues. The patch will be deployed on the live servers on Thursday, June 8th 5PM KST/8AM UTC/1AM PDT, taking approximately 1 hour to fully complete. Until then, players will get the chance to test the patch on the Test servers, which are already live!
It’s not just the Client and Server performance improvement, instead, there are going to be deployed minor bug fixes too.
Server Side
As we said, this update aims to improve both the Client and Server issues. On the server side, there will be improved physics engine performance and fix of an issue with the movement of a character being stuck, when a large amount of data is sent.
Client Side
The client performance in the lobby and care package airplane rendering performance are both improved.
Regarding the Gameplay, the “Match Ends In” timer is now modified from 5 minutes to 1 minute.
Bug Fixes
Below, you can preview the bug fixes addressed in this PUBG Patch
- Fixed a bug that caused weapon icons at the bottom of the screen to not be shown when switching weapons after opening the inventory.
- Fixed a bug that caused a client crash when changing the character’s looks.
- Fixed a bug that caused Freelook (Alt) not to work while the character is jumping.
Hopefully, this Early Access Week 11 Update is going to satisfy all PUBG’s players, even though we know they’re already happy with the game. The community reactions are always positive and there’s nothing that may stop PUBG and Bluehole Studios from developing whatever the community wants.
