PUBG: High amount of players in the same area is no more an issue

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds has received another fix regarding performance, which mainly came because of many players being in the same area. The issue had an impact on FPS and now should result in a much lesser FPS drops. After the PC 1.0 second update and the BP compensation, Bluehole keeps on fixing performance related issues to improve player’s experience.

It is a client-side performance issue, which kind of dulls the difficulties when it comes to a confident and stable FPS. After the parachuting view distance reducement update, this is a second-best update to get since the PC 1.0 launch. Performance matters for most of the hardcore players, which in terms have given quite a positive feedback on the social networks.

Furthermore, PUBG gets two more bug fixes regarding character’s movement, making the character stop for an unknown reason. Additionally, a character’s movement issue during replay has been addressed as well.

Without applying on the test servers, the fix has been applied to the live servers immediately. With a size of around 25 MB, below you can find the detailed patch notes.

Client Optimization

  • Reduced lowered performance issue when many players were in the same area

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the issue where character movement was instantly stopped and adjusted
  • Fixed the issue where character movement seemed unusual during the replay

It is crucial to receive performance patches in games like PUBG, so its majority of players remain satisfied.
