PUBG gets new anti-cheat measure, third-party apps that give any kind of unfair advantage will be blocked

After many changes in PUBG’s anti-cheat measures, today a new update has come. This update tends to improve the anti-cheat system further, and will not allow any third person apps that alter the game in any way. If you or any players that you may know to use any enhancement or graphics tweak app, it’s vital to notify them to stop because things are getting real.

Before a couple of months, PUBG has publicly announced that it has disabled the usage of Reshade, making players a bit disappointed. Now, the anti-cheat measures have even altered in a way that players cannot use any third-party app just so to improve the gameplay experience for everyone.

Earlier today we deployed an anti-cheat update to improve game security. This update blocks additional cheats and helper programs that alter the graphics or aid in gameplay in some way. We aim to improve and maintain a fair playing field for everyone and will continue our efforts against any programs that give their users an unfair advantage. Programs that are not used to gain an unfair advantage but are indistinguishable from cheats based on their behavior will also be blocked.

We are aware that there can be some compatibility issues due to this update and are working towards resolving them.

Like a game of its caliber, it is somewhat the most critical factor in the game, to prevent cheaters have a significant impact on their game. While it may sound a bit rough, this is an entirely supportive manner by the whole community and honest players, and it should’ve been done since the beginning.

Bluehole has tweeted out the same, confirming the change is already available on the live servers. Hence, some players may experience issues for which Bluehole said it would clear soon.

PC players, we have deployed an anti-cheat measure today on our live servers to further increase the game security. You may see some compatibility issues because of this. We are working to resolve them. Thank you for your understanding. Read more here: https://t.co/NMuW9FwDib

While it may sound strange to you, but some games already do this type of checks, so they could quickly conclude whether the player suspicious or not is. It is quite a successful feature to have this on and shall improve the gameplay experience for everyone. Overall, we cannot be mad at Bluehole since their effort in fighting all the cheaters is impressive. Fighting them without breaking the game’s flow is more than just an essential element that every game needs to have.
