PubG Ded.Net Closed Beta Sign-Ups Are Open, but Its Release Date Is Still Unknown
Krafton's colorful 1990s-set FPS mixes roguelite progression and bizarre combat tools, while its beta start date, release date, and target platforms remain unannounced.
PUBG: DED.NET is taking the series in a very different direction. Krafton’s upcoming multiplayer FPS combines shooting with roguelite progression and puts players in an unpredictable version of 1990s Cascadia.
The project was revealed during Gamescom 2026 with a colorful trailer backed by Ministry’s “Jesus Built my Hotrod.” Instead of focusing on the grounded military presentation associated with PubG: Battlegrounds, DED.NET uses a bright punk style inspired by the 1990s, complete with neon colors, flashy clothing, and weapons in both hands.
What kind of game is PubG Ded.Net?
Krafton’s official description presents PUBG: DED.NET as a multiplayer FPS built around experimentation, adaptation, and roguelite progression. Players can mix abilities, scavenge resources, and carry progression between runs. A lost match still contributes to the larger run, while the resources gathered can affect how players approach later fights.
The announcement does not confirm that DED.NET is a traditional battle royale or an extraction shooter. For now, it is best understood as a shooter with ideas borrowed from both structures, wrapped around a more flexible run-based progression system.
That premise gives the spin-off a much more colorful identity than the mainline battle royale. The reveal footage shows stylized characters, loud environments, and a stranger tone that feels closer to a neon action thriller than a conventional military shooter.
Strange tools for strange gunfights
The combat systems sound suitably strange. Players will be able to use car doors as riot shields, recover health by cannibalizing enemies, play dead, and hack payphones to steal money from rivals. Not every firefight will follow the usual cover-and-shoot routine.
A disclosure on the game’s Steam page says the team uses AI tools to develop some in-game content, although it does not specify which parts of the game were created with those tools.
How to join the closed beta
Closed-beta registration opened on August 25, 2026, through the PubG Ded.Net closed beta page. A Krafton player account is required to join the waiting list. Registration does not provide immediate access: anyone selected for testing will need to wait for an email confirming their invitation.
Krafton has not shared when the closed beta will begin or end. The registration page mentions limited spots, so access may depend on how many testers the team chooses to admit.
PubG Ded.Net release date and platforms
There is currently no confirmed release date for PubG Ded.Net. Krafton also has not announced whether the game will come to PC, consoles, or another platform. For now, closed-beta registration is the only way to express interest in trying the spin-off before launch details arrive.
