The PS5 is heading into a crowded three-month run. The current calendar contains 44 entries across August, September, and October 2026, while several publishers have placed games in those months to avoid the attention around Grand Theft Auto VI in November.
August is the gentler part of the run, but September and October are another story. September currently has 14 dated releases, including a September 24 double-header for Control Resonant and Silent Hill: Townfall. October has 19 entries, and five of them share October 15.

Release dates can still move. One or two smaller games may slip into 2027, but the current calendar leaves little room in September and October even if a few dates change.
