Sony has confirmed the release of the new, merged PS Plus subscription service in the US. The combined subscription service will arrive in the US 3 weeks after its rollout in Asia, while the UK will follow nine days after. The update in the recent announcement article confirms the following:
- Asia markets (excluding Japan) – targeting May 23, 2022
- Japan – targeting June 1, 2022
- Americas – targeting June 13, 2022
- Europe – targeting June 22, 2022
June is just around the corner, and with this comes some exciting news! Sony has announced that both PlayStation Plus and PS Now will be merging, creating one service called PlayStation Plus. Together with it, three new different membership plans arrive.
The update also mentions all of the country members that will be able to stream their games from anywhere in the world. The expansion includes the following countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Republic of Cyprus, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia, for a total target of 30 markets.
For those unaware of what PS Plus is, it is a combination of PlayStation Plus and PS Now. Both of these services will merge and create a brand new service with the PS Plus branding, but with three different tiers.
- PS Plus Essential
- PS Plus Extra
- PS Plus Premium.
